Post-Secondary courses in a Public Works Services related field such as Operations, Water/Wastewater/Stormwater, Transportation, Streetlights & Construction, GIS and work experience in Public Works Services or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience is required.

Significant field asset data collection using GIS applications experience in public works operations within a municipal government would be an asset.

Working knowledge with GIS Software such as Esri and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Internet).

Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.

Strong interpersonal skills and ability to deal with a variety of personality types.

Ability to work independently with minimal direction or as part of a team, and to respond appropriately to any situation which may arise.

Ability to deal effectively and courteously with the public, other Town departments and all levels of staff.

Class “G” driver’s license in good standing and a reliable vehicle to use while on corporate business an asset.
